At PyCon Greece, we are dedicated to supporting an inclusive and diverse Python community. To support this mission, we are pleased to offer a Financial Aid Program designed to assist individuals who might otherwise be unable to attend due to financial constraints.
What Does the Financial Aid Cover?
We offer pre-paid financial support, which may include:
- Free conference ticket
- Travel and/or accommodation assistance
Who Can Apply?
Our Financial Aid Program is open to anyone in need, especially:
- Students and recent graduates
- Unemployed or low-income individuals
- First-time speakers or conference attendees
- Members of underrepresented groups in tech
- Community contributors and volunteers
We are especially keen to support applicants who contribute to the Python ecosystem or are actively involved in community initiatives.
Application Process
- Submit your application via our online form, by submitting what type of assistance you need.
- Our review committee evaluates applications based on financial need, impact, diversity, and available funds.
- Selected applicants receive notification and must confirm acceptance within 7 days.
- Grants are transferred in advance: you will not need to pay upfront or provide receipts.

Grant policies
Policies for all grants
- Financial support is not guaranteed.
- Reimbursements are not possible: approved grants will be pre-paid in advance (in the form of discount vouchers), and receipts will not be accepted.
- If the applicant does not accept the grant before the mentioned deadline, the grant will be considered rejected by the applicant.
- The financial aid grants will only be available to registered attendees actually attending the conference.
- The Financial Aid Team may also make grant offers outside the two main rounds of selection.
- Grants are provided in advance of the conference.
❌ We do not issue reimbursements under any circumstances.
❌ No receipts or invoices are required.
❌ We cannot process payments via cash or other non-agreed methods. - Since grants are pre-paid, there is no need to submit receipts or proof of expenses. However, you must attend the conference to remain eligible for the grant.
- You may be asked to confirm attendance, e.g., by submitting a photo of your badge during or after the event.
- If you receive a grant but are no longer able to attend, please email us at [email protected] as soon as possible so we can reallocate your spot to someone else in need.
Free Ticket Voucher Grant
If your application is approved, you’ll receive a personal voucher code that grants you a free regular conference ticket, giving you full access to all days of PyCon Greece 2025.
Already bought a ticket?
If you purchased a ticket before receiving your Financial Aid voucher, please request a refund (using the link of your order’s email) separately before using your voucher.
Please note that the Financial Aid program cannot reimburse any previously purchased tickets.
Travel/Accommodation Grant
If you are awarded a travel and/or accommodation grant, you will receive the approved amount before the conference, either via voucher or another agreed method.
